William H. Knull Jr. Community Award

William H. Knull, Jr.
Community Service Award

The Boys and Girls Club of the Northern Neck realized that it would not have been possible to accomplish as much as we have without the support of many key individuals residing across the Northern Neck.

This award will be presented each year to an individual residing in the Northern Neck who has distinguished themselves by unselfish service to God, Country and Community while also giving services for the betterment of youth.

In addition to recognizing individual contributions, this award will create a platform for young people throughout our community to learn that service to others is a behavior that is rewarded, highly valued and recognized.

The award will be presented at the annual Steak & Burger dinner event to be held at the Club.

A committee of three to five volunteers, consisting of at least two members of the Club’s Board of Directors, will form the selection committee. From our list of candidates there is to be only one recipient selected from each club each year; this committee may elect to posthumously recognize one additional winner annually.

Appropriate publicity before and after the event will be handled by the Club.
